I ended up liking this book better than the first. First one sets up the characters and rolls through the outbreak in fairly standard fashion I would say, but this one is firmly planted in the post apocalyptic genre. It becomes less about the infected and more about the drama between the characters and the various factions that emerge...without revealing too much...the storytelling is also much better in this one. Loved it, lots of action
This is building up into a really good story, slow start, but now at its peak.
All the original friends from school are back together, apart from Elvis. Now it's fight time, they have been safe in their secret valley, but the zombies must be coming soon.
Jaxon is now the undisputed leader and it's up to him to pull everyone together, everyone is now hardened, everyone now knows what they have to do to survive, everyone know they must fight together. Book three here I come.
Things start to heat up in this book with some drama between the characters. It's starting to get into the dark, post-apocalyptic world that we would expect in a zombie apocalypse. You definitely need to read the first book before this one.
When i read i always like to see how the characters handle the absence of rules. I like to see the destruction of society, and see how much evil comes out of every character. This book kept me turning the pages to find out. Its far past the initial outbreak, but the author still delivers the same jealousy, greed and tension that kept me reading book one. I hope theres a third!
This author is on a roll! Lots of suspense and plot turns kept me wanting to learn what would happen next, and I was not disappointed. Can hardly wait for the next one in this series!
Poor editing, no people of color, nothing new under the sun. Unfortunately, I have already bought the next book. Even if it is a zombie book, it can do better than this.
